AFAIR from the documentation everything that's built locally is contained in so-called cellars under its prefix, so I could just rename it (no SIP or SIP disabled) or move it away (SIP doesn't allow renaming of /usr/local even after clearing flags). I couldn't figure out another way, e.g., by setting users and permissions to keep them out of each other's way though.
