This is macports from git, running on 10.6.8. Both base and the port definitions are from git, living in /opt/mports/macports-base and /opt/mports/macports-ports, respectively.
My sources.conf says file:///opt/mports/macports-ports/ [default] as per https://guide.macports.org/#installing.macports.git to use my clone as the only source. Yet port(1) always says Warning: port definitions are more than two weeks old, consider updating them by running 'port selfupdate'. even after I have just run git pull on the ports. Am I missing something obvious? Jan
