What is the state of the Macports Ada compiler, GNAT? I recall a couple years ago there was a bootstrapping problem since the compiler is written in Ada. Is it possible to have a 64-bit compiler on OS X 10.5? 10.6?

The 2010 GPL edition from Adacore fixes the linking problem to BLAS and LAPACK, meaning that there is a linker pragma specific to OS X that finds those libraries so the user no longer has to do this. Also, that edition fixes a problem with the non-blocking Get_Immediate (in the past, it was blocking). Does Macports GNAT also fixe these problems?

Also, does Macports include GPS, GNAT Programming Studio, the Ada- specific IDE?
