-ObjC++ is a valid option for Apple's gcc so it should work, but I note that compiling of this file used just 'gcc' whereas the others used '/usr/bin/gcc-4.0'. So what is the result of running $ which gcc You may have another gcc that could be getting in the way and confusing things.
