Because I am clearly not making progress here, if anyone wants to help this would be the script that wraps git-multimail to handle the mails to macports-changes: https://github.com/macports/trac.macports.org/blob/master/plugins/hooks/trac-github-update.py It receives the GitHub WebHook payload in JSON format on stdin, as documented here: https://developer.github.com/v3/activity/events/types/#pushevent The goal would be to change the From: address to something static, but maybe still keep the pusher address available in the body.
