Yes, but will it reconfigure again? LyX will generally work fine without python, though there are some converter scripts that need it. You were quite correct - the problems return if I run Reconfigure and then restart Lyx. I had to run Reconfigure after starting Lyx from a Terminal session to sort it out again. I’ll file this away for future reference, until the bug is fixed either by Lyx or OS X 10.10. Thanks, -- Kevin Horton
