Hello: This is only a report of a misbehavior so that lyx user (and possibly developers) would be aware of it.
Lyx (both 2.0.x and 2.1.0rc1) numbers koma book class sections consecutively disregarding \frontmatter and \mainmatter. This results in a difference between section numbers in lyx interface and the pdf output. For example if the document has 2 sections in the front matter and 5 in the main matter, in lyx these are numbered from 1 to 7. In the pdf output the sections in the front matter are not numbered and the the sections in the main matter are numbered from 1 to 5. This makes identifying text locations and editing/correcting the text difficult occasionally. bcsikos425
