I think you have the choice of: a) install texlive-fonts-extra and just newpx from CTAN -1 large download and disk-space use. +1 no manual config required b) install newtx and newpx from CTAN -1 "manual" download and configuration required +1 less disk-space c) forget about newpx (at least until it is in Debian/testing) Maybe the predecessor (the pxfonts package already suits your needs?) Watch for spacing around braces and operators ... As I have both, DSL and a sufficiently large hard-disk, I'd go for a). Günter
