Hi,

I'm using LYX 2.0.5.1 on Win7 x64. MIXTEX 2.9.4196.
I'm on the document style book (koma-script).
I'm using non-tex fonts via Xetex (generally Gentium).
I already installed arabi and arabtex.

I'm writing in German and I'm using the scientific transliteration of arabic words and names etc., which is called ZDMG. It includes signs like ʿ, ʾ, ḍ,ṣ, š, ḏ, ṯ, etc. and in a single document I have to mix between arabic citations
and german.

I'm quoting an arabic passage through defining the textstyle and switching
the language like it is described in Wiki. But everytime when trying to see
the PDF through Xextex, its saying:

ERROR:
Package babel Error: You haven't definied the language arabtex yet.
Description:
 \selectlanguage{arabtex}
                              %
Your command will be ignored, type <return> to proceed

If I use an arabic document with a codex which is not UTF8 or Unicode, I have problems with the ǧ and ʿ, because the code does not have these signs.

I hope someone can help me.
