Can't View Splash.lyx

I have successfully installed Lyx on two Windows 7 64-bit computers. Now 
I have a new installation of Lyx 2.0.5.1 on a Windows 8 64-bit computer 
with MikTex 2.9. When I try to view the splash.lyx example with Ctrl-R I 
get an error: "LaTeX Error: Cannot determine the size of the graphic". 
It does not like the little eyeballs in the third item in splash.lyx. I 
deleted the eyeballs and then I get another error: "LyX Cannot view your 
file, File dose not exist". Other preview options like PDF (ps2pdf) work 
fine. Any suggestions on what is wrong with the LyX setup?
