Hello Uwe, I guess you meant to say "xxx/picture.jpg" in the relative path above... What version of LyX are you using? I've tested 2.0.0 and 2.0.4 on Mac OS X - both of them are making the path relative for pictures in the directory of the document or a subdirectory of it automatically. No need for manually adjustments. I'm using the "Browse..." button of the "Insert => Graphics" dialog. Regards, Stephan
