Yes, I do have a Time Machine, and it's saved my rear end a few times. One thing that's relevant, and that I should keep saying, is that I'm a beginner with Lyx/LaTeX/TeX. The only LyX documents I had that were created with 1.6 were those I created doing the tutorial. I have one other document that's a real one that was created with 2.02. So on Richard's suggestion I'm starting over with a clean install of 2.02. All my work on that last document was done in the document. I didn't do much configuring of LyX. I think the only thing was to put in the Foot to End module. I'm assuming that the rest of the work, which was not all that substantial, either, is preserved in the document. If not, it won't take much to redo it. If been reading up on customizing LyX, but the more I learn the more questions I have swimming around in my head. I'm found the KOMA article layout, but I'm not sure how to use it yet. I have references to help me with it, though. Also very uncertain about managing citations and bibliography. Inclined toward biblatex and biber but really, really vague about all of that. I have a fair bit of bibliography-related stuff stored in Zotero. I think getting it from there to whatever citation-bibliography manager I end up with won't be that much of a problem. Selecting and using a citation-bibloigrahy manager is another matter. > All these steps are LyX related. Once I start getting mail from the TeX list to which I've subscribed I definitely will.
