Then I would the following commands to redefine the dots for
subsection and subsubsection
\renewcommand \thesection {\@arabic\c@section.}
\renewcommand\thesubsection {\thesection\@arabic\c@subsection}
\renewcommand\thesubsubsection{\thesubsection.\@arabic\c@subsubsection}
the commands will give you
