> "Downloading MiKTeX failed. Would you like to try again? (HTTP/1.1 404 Not > Found)" I installed Lyx 2 on Windows 7 yesterday and got this exact same error. I continued with the install, assuming I would need to install MikTeX after Lyx had completed. However, during the install I clicked on the details button and was able to watch Lyx configure Latex (suggesting it had in fact downloaded MikTeX) and indeed it is working fine, in spite of that error.
