Hi!

I have in several tables rotated cells (by 90 deg.) in which the contained
text appears vertically. That in order to save horizontal space of course.

Using "\multirow" (along with rotation) however, places the beginning of the
contained word/text to start from the "vertical" center and expand, in my
case, upwards. The final appearance is that the text is not vertically
centered with respect to the total number of rows defined in "\multirow".

I added an extra column and deliberately placed the rotated text in some cell
a bit lower than the central cell(s) so it looks like it is vertically
centered.

Is there a "correct" way to do that? I've been digging for this in several
manuals (multirow, bigstrut, also bigdelim -- in the latter the same problem
occurs when rotating the text that accompanies the big delimiter).

Thanks for any hints, Nikos
