Just throwing a crazy thought out there before Lyx 10; what would be the consequences of a mode where the screen was displayed as though through a Preview inset except at the point where you happened to be typing? A keystroke would toggle this on or off. James Blunt is singing 'You're beautiful' in my head now which is exceedingly annoying. BTW, WYSIWY∞ just means I have an acronym headache; ∞ is not a sideways 8 that fell over from a hangover meaning "What you see is what you ate".
