A simple question, I believe: How do I get captions printed without Figure numbers? Both with the figures and in the list of figures, I wish to have only the captions printed.
I am using Book (Memoir). The help file on Additional LyX Features (or Extended) mentions the float environment figure*. But nothing further is said, except to refer the reader to the User's Guide. I have the User's Guide and the Embedded Objects manuals for LyX 1.6.x and neither makes any mention of figure* or the answer to my problem. Also I see no sign of figure* in the toolbar under Insert. I shall be very grateful for assistance. Regards, George Legge
