I have. This was one of the major reasons I went to 1.6.7 from older versions. It's great not to have to export figures manually in multiple formats each time you make a change, and all that headache.
Without more information, it's difficult to provide much help to you. Basically, you have to install Inkscape, make sure it's in the path somewhere (either in the system path or the path prefix under tools->preferences->paths) so LyX can run the image conversion commands, and reconfigure LyX.
