Dear friends,

I have recently discovered the very nice possibilities offered by
SageTex. This package establishes a simple bridge between Latex and
Sage (a computer algebra system that groups together many open source
tools), in a similar manner as the one established by SWeave between
Latex and R-project. This remarked similarity brings my question: do
you think that an integration of SageTex in Lyx would be possible?
Such a functionality would eliminate the last advantage of Scientific
Workplace on Lyx: an easy to use CAS system directly integrated to the
editor.

Would you support such a development (if yes, we could maybe finance
one of the developpers of Lyx to include it)?

Very cordially,

MY
