Adding these lines to the preamble seems to work (I do not seem to have to
specify the subsubsection format):

\usepackage{remreset}
\renewcommand{\thesection}{\Roman{section}}
\renewcommand{\thesubsection}{\Roman{section}.\Alph{subsection}}

Can someone provide a link to where this is documented? I assume it is part
of the "remreset" package??
