Dear lyx-users,

I´m using Lyx 1.6.7 with MikTex 2.8 and .bib is generated via Citavi 2.5.
Lyx language is german.
Windows 7.

as I try to insert a BibTeX-generated bibliography in my Lyx document it
seems like Lyx is searching for bibtex but does not display the bibliography
and Lyx is not offering any literatur keys neither.
The .bib is certainly correctly generated by Citavi (checked it via Editor
and Jabref) and is stored in the directory which is declared as "work
directory" (Tools --> settings --> paths...)

I'm not sure this is the right place for this file. It should either be (a) in the document directory (maybe that is where it is, though) or (b) in a directory that LaTeX knows about, so that it can find it. The latter is more flexible but takes a little work. In my install on Linux, for example, I have the BIBINPUTS environment variable set thus:
    BIBINPUTS=.:/home/rgheck/files/bibtex:
You can do something similar on Windows, I assume, but I do not know how.
