On Windows and Linux, ctrl+alt+# (where # is a single digit 1 through 9) places
a bookmark and ctrl-# (same digit) returns to it. The Navigate> Bookmarks menu
lets you place up to five bookmarks, but digits 6 through 9 work (but not 0).
You can clear the bookmarks on the same submenu.

There's also the "navigate back" feature, under Navigate>Bookmarks, which, if I remember right, is implemented as bookmark 0. But I can't remember when it becomes active.
