Hey
I got a weird problem using Lyx and JabRef. I use the following bibtex
style : adfathesis (I would like to keep it if possible).
Im writing my thesis and Ive inserted plenty of references which works
fine when lyx compiles and generates the bibliography. However, 2
entries are getting mixed up.
When I insert a ref its put in the final pdf document as (Jackson /et
al., /2006) for instance. Now it just so happens that I have two
references from the same author (Jackson), same year, same journal and
same volume. Basically, two almost identical publications, except for
the title and some co-authors. JabRef generates the following keys
Jackson2006 and Jackson2006a.
When I cite only one of the publications I get not problems. When I
cite both (in different paragraphs even) I get the full author list
inserted in the pdf document. Ive tried changing the bibtexkey. Tried
changing the author names (ei. Aimee L Jackons => Anders Lee Jackson,
even A L Jackson) still the same happens when I insert both citations.
Ive attached a screen shot showing the problem.
JabRef is version 2.6 and Lyx is 1.6.5.
This is probably an issue with natbib, rather than with LyX or JabRef.
JabRef is just a BibTeX editor, and LyX is just creating the LaTeX. To
verify this, try exporting the file to LaTeX and then running LaTeX and
BibTeX manually. It would also be nice to know if switching to some
other BibTeX style solves the problem.
