Ctrl + Tab works, at least in 1.6.5 running in slackware linux (Vector Linux 6.0 standard. Thanks! I have been using lyx for years but did not know how to do this. Looks like I would have made a type and discovered it on my own.

Thanks again.

Is there a way to switch between two open lyx files, without using the
mouse?
Thx

Ctrl + Tab, Ctrl + PgUp, Ctrl + Shift + F6...... Pick your choice.

If this does not work, type in the command buffer
(View->Toolbars->Command Buffer) "buffer-previous" and see what appears
in the statusbar as the shortcut.
