Hi,
I'm Using Lyx 1.6.3 on Windows Vista Home edition. I have enable the Open Document export function. However, whenever I export a document ("File>Export>OpenDocument") Lyx appears to export the document (mouse pointer turns into an hourglass), but I haven't been able to locate where the document gets located to. Can you help me find the export folder?

You're probably running into one of a variety of well-known bugs that afflict ODT export on Windows. This is not a LyX issue so much as it is a tex4ht issue. That said, you might look in your temporary directory and see if LyX for some reason left the ODT there.

Hi RH,
Thanks for your response, and thank you telling me about the bugs. However, could you or someone else tell me where the STANDARD Export Folder for ANY type of export?

It should go to the document directory.

By the way, I looked in the "User Name>AppData>Local>Temp" directory and could not find any exports, including the ODT file.

Is that the temporary directory LyX uses? I'm not on Windows so don't know.

You may also be hitting a different bug with tex4ht, which seems just not to work on Windows for some people. LyX uses a program called htlatex (part of the tex4ht package) to do the conversion to ODT, and there are lots of reports of problems with it. As a workaround, you might try export to RTF instead.
