So, I unsuccessfully tried the following:

  1. to _only_ change the document class

  2. create new lyx file, copy presentation content over and define
class [1]

  3. create new lyx file, copy presentation content and Preamble over,
then define class [2]

Seems like attempts 2. and 3. give errors of minor importance that can
be easily resolved but I don't have free-time now.
