Then you have a bitmap image that has only a header to be an EPS. Therefore I fear that a conversion
to PDF wouldn't help.
I tried to reduce the size of the figure by exporting it in gimp to a .jpg
format. However, this shrinks it to a few kb.
Start from this JPEG and use a program of your choice to resize it to e.g. 1024x768 Pixels. Finally
save it as 8bit PNG.
