What do you mean with indicated? Can you perhaps send a screenshot? What is the path where MiKTeX is
installed? What version of MiKTeX are you using?

That's correct and the case for years (installer independent). Usually you even don't see that a
console window is opened. Perhaps only at the first start of LyX after an installation, the console
window might be visible for a second or so.
