This is not really a problem for me. I use without any problem Jabref
from outside of Lyx. My initial question was just due my wandering if
I was missing something if LyX tells me that its has not been able to
locate in my system. Your answers tell me that I am not missing any
interesting facility. So far so good for me :-)
