I am writing an educational booklet using the book class. I use Lyx 1.6.1 on windows. I am facing the following problems: 1. Section headings appear on alternate pages. On the verso pages, "List of tables" keeps appearing. How can I change that so that the appropriate section heading is displayed? 2. My document is fashioned in a two-column format. How do I write a Preface to appear in a single column? Shamik Shah
