It works, if you have all the sub-documents in the same directory. You can also try to disable the "use temporary directory" option (this was in pre 1.6 maybe you get this by leaving the Document>Settings>Paths: Temp setting empty now.) You could search in the temporary dir (/tmp/lyx_tmpdir*/ on my Debian system) for the given filename. But this is likely to change with every re-opening of LyX. Otherwise you really need to process the whole document and then select the appropriate pages in the viewer. Last but not least: File an enhancement request to bugzilla or vote for it if it is already there. Günter
