Hint: never insert the ERT in a sub-figure (you'll get LaTeX errors). 
      (IMO, its a LyX bug that it allows text or ERT inside a
      sub-figure.)

This works fine for me.

I would like to see LyX support for pst-pdf (no need for
auto-pst-pdf, as LyX can handle the automatisation). If this is a
common request, we should file an enhancement report on bugzilla.
