However, LyX usually compiles in a temp directory (so you do not mess
up your source dir with lots of auxiliary files), so latex will not
find style in the document dir.

There used to be an option to compile in the current dir. Maybe leaving
the tmp path in Tools>Settings>Paths empty will do the trick?

(Or you could export to LaTeX and run latex by hand.)
