This is a quite common expression in every-day german. Look on amazon,
you will find a good number of book-titles with "Ruhm und Ehre", for
example about literature Nobel laureates).
This title was the slogan of the SS during german fascism and i regard it as
a bad joke to use it.
Are you sure you are not confusing this with "Blut und Ehre"
(Hitlerjungend) and/or "Meine/unsere Ehre heisst Treue" (Waffen-SS)?
