If you turn off AMS loading but then use an AMS symbol in a formula somewhere (such as \mathbb{R}), LyX spots this and automatically loads the amssymb and amsfonts packages, which are incompatible with lucimatx. The best solution would probably be a couple more check boxes to allow the user to suppress automatic loading of those packages as well.

The right solution would be to add support for these lucida fonts,
either hardcoded or (easier) through a textclass module.

You should probably create a bug about this.
