I tried to open a document I wrote in 1.5.5 in 1.6 beta 4 (compiled fine there)
and now it won't compile at all with a heap of errors.
It can't handle any of the figures with an error
Latex Error: No counter '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' defined
and in the bottom box it says

It also has an issue with most math environments (can't figure out if only the
labeled ones, all display ones or just all of them yet). with an error similar

use of [EMAIL PROTECTED] doesn't match it's definition

If you say, e.g., `\def\a1{...}', then you must always
put `1' after `\a', since control sequence names are
made up of letters only. The macro here has not been
followed by the required stuff, so I'm ignoring it.
