Hello all, this is my first time in this very useful forum!
As a historian (of opera) I use the analytical index to refer to people's
name and sometimes to their works. But I find really annoying to write every
single time in the index line "Verdi, Giuseppe") in Lyx (or a LaTeX editor).
Additionally, when I'm talking about - say - Verdi's opera "Aida" for a
nested index (very nice and useful) I have to write in the index line
"Verdi, [EMAIL PROTECTED]" to have it correctly nested and
emphasized.
That's crazy (and I'm still lucky it's a short reference and not Amilcare
Ponchielli's "Il Figliuol Prodigo"!!!). There should be a way to write only
a sort of conventional "label" (as for bibliography) for example "VerdiAida"
or simply "Aida" which refer to a correctly formatted index reference
somewhere else (the preamble?) and only ONCE for all!!! I'm not refering to
the aliases in the index (I already use): i don't want my index to refer
"VerdiAida, see Verdi, Giuseppe / Aida", of course!!!
Please help me, sure there's an answer!
Another - silly - question: how can I BY KEYBOARD open (and close) an index
box or a TeX box in Lyx?
Thanks!
