No problem here either. I work on a powerbook G4, I upgraded my system  
to 0SX 10.5.3 yesterday, and Lyx 10.5.5 still seems to work fine.

No problem here.  I just installed LyX 1.5.5 with OSX 10.5.3.  I am  
running an intel MacBook Pro and a MacBook.
