The problem with the fonts was not actually a problem but a future of the class. In moderncv there are two different font classes (Roman & Serif) for the headers and the body of the cv. I modified the moderncvthemeclassic.sty to use just roman everywhere and everything is ok now. I think i have find a minor bug of the class and I will email the author of the package. When we use listitem and the description does not fit in one line then the second line is just under the bullet and not next to it.
