Daniel, Well, OK. I'll put in my opinion. If you want total control over your vector figures and plots, take a look at PyX (http://pyx.sourceforge.net/). It's a python wrapper over LaTeX and PostScript. Truly multiplatform. Does it all. Of course, it's not drag-'n'-drool, but you can do whatever you want with it. The default outputs are .eps and .pdf; pick one or both. Rich -- Richard B.
