I did some work during this past week and I put the results I have so
far here: http://www.lightbird.net/lyx/ . None of this is final, in
fact, since that many people spoke out against changing logo at all, the
old logo will likely stay, if only with minor changes, however I think
there's no harm in posting this for people to consider.
In regard to templates: I'm not sure if there's agreement whether to use
a different template for wiki or not. If there is eventually an
agreement to use a completely different design for it, we can take one
of these and change it.
Generally speaking Joost' design is excellent, the only thing I'd like
to add is that strong shadows on the sides seem to be overused, I'd
either considerably tone them down or maybe try how it looks without
them. However, if a lot of people really like one of these templates
better than Joost' template, I can input all the content from current
lyx site in one of them and then we can decide which one to use.. I'm
lagging in reading the list, I will have time to read all posts later in
the week, so I have no idea if there is agreement yet about logo, main
template and wiki template.
