Well, honestly, it isn't. It's pretty hard to make a fancy one-side-letter invitation for granma's wedding in LyX. MS Word probably would fit _that_ bill. OTOH, for writing scientific papers or the random "thesis" LyX is probably better suited. > and developed mainly by European developers.
