For me SciPy and Ruby (in that order) are the best. Both look really professionally designed, but ScyPy site uses all the screen, letting you spread the information in a better way. All you have to do is pick the color scheme, which at least by my tastes should include blue, put the logo/mascot in place, design the menu with content in mind, and voila, a beautiful new site for LyX will emerge.
