Hi,

I am a mac user of Lyx and I have differents problems with Lyx, like
bibliography style, latex exportation of document ( in french the
accents é and è are not included in the tex document) and picture
incorporation problem (only png are supported, not eps).

As for the bibliography style, we need more information, what you are actually looking for. You can do some basic setup in the document settings dialogue, numerical is for numerical bibliographies as can be found in rather mathematical or scientific subjects, Natbib does a good author-year-citation as often found in social sciences and jurabib is well suited for citation in humanities with footnotes (in LyX insert a footnote first and there insert your citation). But these are just general recommendations.

For exporting your documents and for any other language as English (and even for English, too), I recommend a unicode encoding, which you can choose in the document settings dialoge. Then, your LaTeX editor also might need to be set up for a unicode encoding.

And as far as I know, EPS is supported but I always convert it to PDF and then use it in LyX. On OS X, the native viewer app converts PS automatically to PDF for display. You can then simply save it as PDF and use the resulting file in LyX.

Kind regards,

Max
