Helge, So what? Microtype is only used to improve the final output; Lyx is only concerned with the on-screen user interface. Couldn't the user replace the dvips used as the printer command with a short script to run pdflatex to a temporary file, run pdf2ps on the temporary file, then send the output to the printer? Les
