Ah yes, it's a new feature in 1.5, where the toggle state also should be
preserved between sessions.

Never mind - its me who is using this old-fashioned version :-)
I would love to switch to 1.5. Show stopper is the on-screen font
rendering, which is, well, not so nice. This is not to blame on LyX, but
on QT4 and the SunRay X-Server. QT4 uses a new engine for font smoothing
that requires an X-Server extension not offered by our SunRay servers.
So the new LyX looks ... ugly. (Stupid me, being spoiled by Windows'
font smoothing engine for years, I just can't bear this any more.)
