Hi,

I want to change in the TeX-file, which was exported from LyX, the path of
the figures with a text editor (kwrite).

However, the Umlaute are not properly exported; worse, they are all shown in
the same way (? in a diamond), e.g.

In LyX file:
Tübingen, März 2004 (ue ae)
Dinge, daß auch (ss)
Alle Schöpfung (oe)

exported in tex (same if exported in plain text):
T?bingen, M?rz 2004
Dinge, da? auch
Alle Sch?pfung

Could one of the German LyX users tell me where the problem is?
This is an encoding issue. Try changing the encoding with which you open the file.
