Using another font is easy _if_ there exists a latex package supporting it.
If so, go to Document Settings->Latex Preamble and add
the relevant \usepackage command, and set the fonts to "Default" in
the Document settings. (The package will make the interewsting font "default".)

If there is no support package, then using another font will be
difficult - although not impossible. I have done it once, and needed a few
days to set it up. :-(

Another option is to use xetex, which has easy support for using any font
installed on your computer.  LyX doesn't support xetex, but there is
an example on using xetex (via ERT and export->latex)
