Hi,
i have a problem. I hope, that this is the right addrees, if not, please tell
me whom I can write.
I looked for an answer all the day and I'm pretty sure now that Lyx is the root of the problem.
I use Windows XP and I was typing some definitions with long formulas and my laptop
suddenly was very slow. I figured out, that the windows process "csrss.exe" had
up to 80% of the effort of my processor. And the weird thing is, that this only happens
if I open this file. So, what can I do?
I would be very happy if someone could help me and I'm sorry for the bad
english.
Thanks, regards, Michael
There was a thread about this last year. It starts at
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.editors.lyx.general/33869. I don't know
if the root cause was ever identified, but I think the problem went away
with one of the updates, possibly as a result of improvements to
Qt/WinFree. Anyway, my suggestion is that you upgrade LyX to 1.5.1 (or
at least 1.4.5).
