Hello LyXers,
I uploaded two new versions of the LyXWinInstaller:
- Version 2.17: - installs LyX 1.4.5.1
- Version 3.18: - installs LyX 1.5.1 (and the latest MiKTeX 2.6 in the complete
installer version)
Version 2.17 is only available as small installer version (without MiKTeX) because LyX 1.4.5.1 is a
release for those who already use LyX and therefore have a working LaTeX installation, and wants to
keep working with the LyX 1.4 series. LyX 1.4.5.1 is able to load all LyX-files that were created
and edited with LyX 1.5.1.
New users should start with LyX 1.5.1.
(A LyXWinInstaller for LyX 1.5.0 was not published due to a serious dataloss bug in this LyX version
that is now fixed in LyX 1.5.1.)
The installers can be downloaded from:

Informations for those who followed the installer releases for LyX 1.5 test builds and release
candidates:

- support to set "Chinese (China)" (simplified Chinese) and
"Chinese (Taiwan)" (traditional Chinese) as LyX's menu language
- updated to MiKTeX 2.6 (version 2742)
- updated to ImageMagick 6.3.5
- updated to GhostScript 8.60
There is no update installer available to update an installed LyX 1.5.0rc2 to LyX 1.5.1 to assure
that you start with a fresh and working LyX 1.5 installation. For all further LyX 1.5.x releases
there will be an update installer.
